Based on Dr. Cheryl Blaze's recent meeting with an IRS representative, each chapter of Phi Zeta determines on its own whether its tax year runs from Jan to Dec (calendar tax year) or from July to June (academic tax year). According to past filings of Form 990N by current chapters, the following chapters are on record as following a July to June tax year:
Alpha chapter - Cornell University
Beta chapter - University of Pennsylvania
Gamma chapter - Iowa State University
Delta chapter - Ohio State University
Epsilon chapter - Auburn University
Eta chapter - Texas A&M University
Theta chapter - Colorado State University
Iota chapter - Washington State University
Kappa chapter - University of Minnesota
Lambda chapter - University of California
Mu chapter - University of Illinois
Nu chapter - Oklahoma State University
Xi chapter - University of Georgia
Omicron chapter - Purdue University
Pi chapter - University of Missouri
Rho chapter - Tuskegee University
Sigma chapter - Kansas State University
Tau chapter - Louisiana State University
Upsilon chapter - University of Florida
Phi chapter - University of Tennessee
Chi chapter - Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University
Psi chapter - North Carolina State University
Omega chapter - Mississippi State University
Alpha alpha chapter - University of Wisconsin
Alpha beta chapter - Tufts University
Alpha gamma chapter - Oregon State University
Alpha epsilon chapter - Western University of Health Sciences

Chapters following a July to June tax year must file Form 990N (e-Postcard) sometime between July 1st and November 15th every year to retain their tax-exempt status. Those following a calendar tax year must file between January 1st and May 15th . THE IRS WILL AUTO-REVOKE A CHAPTER'S TAX EXEMPT STATUS IF THEY FAIL TO FILE FOR THREE (3) YEARS IN A ROW. A chapter HAS had its tax-exempt status revoked and must now reapply for this status. Other chapters are currently out of compliance and could face auto-revocation. There is nothing the national chapter can do about this other than urge you to file Form 990N on time on a yearly basis. The process is simple and takes just a few minutes (see attached How to file with the IRS 2018.pdf). If your chapter has not filed for the 2017 tax year, please do so NOW using the attached file Form 990N User Guide for eFiling. If you still have questions, please contact me and I will try to help.

My sincerest thanks to Dr. Blaze for taking on the task of IRS "wrangling". :)
